March 5th's Waiting (Impatiently) on Wednesday

It's time for this week's Waiting on Wednesday.  This week, I've got a book I just found out about a couple days ago, but I am already counting the days.

That's right, an all new mystery based on the TV show Veronica Mars entitled The Thousand-Dollar Tan Line.

Yes, I loved the show a decade ago when it was on TV, and I spent January doing a monster marathon rewatching session to get ready for the movie that comes out in a week and a half.  I'd heard a rumor that they were thinking about putting out some books as well, and I stumbled on this at Amazon over the weekend.  I will be ready to read it when it comes out.

I am trying to stay away from too much info about the book (and the movie), so I just know it sounds like many of the series regulars are in the book.

I won't have long to wait since the book will be out in just three weeks on March 25th.

    1. It was such a great show. Mystery with some high school soap thrown in for good measure stirred up with sarcasm. I really was hooked when I was doing my rewatch.

  3. I'll be another one of those people who haven't watched the show. I love me a mystery though, so I'll be on the lookout for the book :)

    1. I'll be interested to see how the book works for those who don't love the show. Some tie-ins aren't good outside the fandom while others get new people hooked on the characters.

  5. It is always fun to cross media lines from TV to book or movie and vice versa. Right now I am watching my way through Midsomer Murders. I don't know why I never watched it before. I found out they are based on books, so I will probably start reading them to see how they compare.

    1. I've heard good things about Midsomer Murders, but I've never watched it. And I don't think I knew it was based on books either. I'll be watching for your reviews, however.
