This week, I'm reading Fillet of Murder by Linda Reilly.
This is the first in a series that came out a few months ago, but I'm finally getting to read it. I'm just over half way done, so I'm making good progress.
Here's how it begins:
"Don't do it, Bea. He's not worth it." Talia Marby clamped her hand firmly around her employer's wrist, preventing Bea from pitching a chunk of fresh haddock at the man on the opposite side of the counter.
And jumping ahead of page 56, let's go with the first couple of sentences from the page:
For the second time that day, visions of a wardrobe designed around a single color scheme - orange - flashed through Talia's head. "Jill, we have got to get out of here."
And that's it for this week. Hope you have a fabulous weekend.
So many cozies so little time! :) Sounds like another good one.

I think I'm trying to read all of those cozies, too. Is it any wonder I can't keep up?
DeleteI'm a sucker for cozies! This one sounds like fun...good choice. Here's my Friday post
ReplyDeleteAnother cozy fan! Yeah!!!
DeleteSounds like another fun cozy for me. I'm addicted to them.
ReplyDeleteHere's my 56 - http://fuonlyknew.com/2015/11/13/the-friday-56-85-the-captive-condition/
I'm quite addicted to them as well, as if the number of times I use them for these meme's isn't proof.
DeleteKitty looks like he has enjoyed a fish or two LOL

Funny you should say that. Actually, the cat is a stray. I'm sure there will be plenty of fish in his future, however.
DeleteI really loved this book. And Linda Reilly is wonderful. Thanks for stopping by my blog Mark. If anyone else would like to check it out you can find mine here... http://tinyurl.com/LisaKsBookReviewsblogFTF
ReplyDeleteI know you did. This book has gotten lots of positive reviews.
DeleteNo wardrobe should ever be orange, unless it's a very subdued orange xD This sounds like a fun book, especially with how that beginning gets you right into the action! Thanks for sharing :) I hope you have a great weekend!

The beginning does jump right in, which was nice.
DeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteSounds very interesting. I'll have to check this series out.
Have a great day!
This is the first, and the second doesn't come out until January, so you aren't that far behind...yet.
DeleteLove the title.
ReplyDeleteI need to read more cozies.
ENJOY your book and your weekend.

My Book Beginnings
There are plenty of cozies to choose from, that's for sure.
DeleteI love that beginning! While I've never had a chunk of haddock handy to fling at someone I can completely understand the feeling!
ReplyDeleteI think we can all understand that feeling.
DeleteLOL I think I'd like Bea.
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend!
I definitely like Bea.
DeleteThanks for sharing. The snippets and cover are very interesting.
ReplyDeleteCheck out my Friday 56 (With Book Beginnings).
Thanks for stopping by.
DeleteI want to know what orange means and why they have to get out. Happy Weekend!
ReplyDeleteIn this case, the character was referring to having to wear an orange jumpsuit for being in prison.
