Stars: 5 out of 5
Pros: Minnie in a very appropriate Valentine’s colored entry

The Bottom Line:
Valentine’s red, pink
Minnie holding chocolate
What is not to love?

Sweetheart of a Valentine’s Ornament

We’ve hit the point in the Year of Disney Magic series where we are beginning to see repeat characters.  It’s not that bad, however, since we have reached the second half of the series.  There are bound to be some eventually, right?  And with the fun that is Sweets For The Sweet, that’s not an issue at all.

The ornament is definitely one for Valentine’s Day since it is predominately red and pink.  There’s the red oval base on the ornament and the huge red heart shaped box of chocolate that Minnie is holding.  Seriously, it pretty much covers from her chin to her shoes.  As usual, Minnie is wearing a pink bow in her hair and pink shoes.  The heart of candy has a pink bow and ribbon on it, and across the bow in white is written “For Minnie.”  Outside this color scheme, Minnie is wearing a turquoise dress, but that is pretty much only visible on her right shoulder if you are looking from the front or by viewing the ornament from the sides.

Mind you, I’m not complaining about the color scheme at all.  It completely fits the color scheme of the holiday, after all.  What says Valentine’s Day more than red and pink?  And Minnie is usually wearing some pink, so that’s not a bad thing at all.

What catches my eye is that huge box of chocolates that Minnie has.  Mickey must love her very, very much because I’m sure they weren’t cheap.  Okay, and I love chocolate, so I’m a little jealous.  Or a lot jealous as the case may be.

This is one of those weird ornaments that has two positions where it looks upright.  When you go to hang the ornament, you’ll notice that the oval base Minnie is standing on tips forward some.  Yet because of how Minnie is standing, she still looks like she is standing up right.  Set her on that base, and she again looks like she is leaning forward, but that could easily be from trying to walk with that huge box of chocolates.  (Seriously, how do I get some?)  I’m not sure how they do it, but I think it works either way.

If you are looking for the 7 in a Christmas tree series marker, you’ll find it on the bottom of the base like always in this series.

Whether you are looking for something different for your sweetheart or collecting this series, you’ll want to be sure to get Sweets For The Sweet.  It’s a sweet way to celebrate Valentine’s Day every year.

What could be more magical than the entire Year of Disney Magic?
