There are so many secular traditions associated with Easter, and a big one is the Easter basket.  Naturally, this is what Hallmark has picked for Easter Sweets, the third seasonal special edition compliment to the Season’s Treatings series.

The basis of this ornament is an Easter basket filled with the fake grass people use for them.  The basket is filled with goodies.  There’s a foil wrapped chocolate bunny, three foil wrapped chocolate eggs, and two sugar cookies, one shaped like a chick and one like a tulip.  On top of the basket is a purple bow.

And in that bow is the hook to hang this ornament.  It tips ever so slightly to the left, but very few people are even going to notice.

Like the Valentine’s special edition, this one has more height than the typical entry in the series.  That means you can set this out to be displayed if you don’t want to hang it or don’t have somewhere to hang it.

And can I just say yum?  This ornament makes me crave milk chocolate, which is what I associate with chocolate goodies at Easter.  I feel like it should have a dyed egg or two in it, but that’s a minor complaint.  The eggs I mentioned are definitely foil covered chocolate because you can see the wrinkles in the wrapping.  Yes, we get that much detail.
