July 10th's Book Beginnings and Friday 56

It's Friday!  That means it is time for Book Beginnings and Friday 56.

This week, I'm featuring Sowing Malice by Wendy Tyson.

                                                  


This is the sixth book in the Greenhouse Mysteries, set in Winsome, Pennsylvania.  And it's fantastic.

Here's how the book begins:
If Winsome was reeling from a death in her midst, you wouldn't know it, Megan thought.

Jumping ahead to 56% into the book, we find this:

"Why are you here?" Olive asked again.  Her gaze never strayed from the glass of iced tea.  "Is this about my sister?"

    Those excerpts sound like it could be just a book about the people, or something darker! Since it's a mystery, probably a little of both ;) Thanks for sharing.
