September 6th's Weekly TV Thoughts

Summer season is definitely winding down.  The few shows that didn't end this week end next week.  Just in time because the new fall season will be starting soon.  Hard to believe, isn't it?

With the new fall season, I'll definitely be welcoming comments and links to your posts on your blog, so get ready to join the fun.  And if you want to post thoughts now, that's perfectly fine, too.

Wipeout – The make-up effects on Jon making him look bald were pretty amazing.  I’m surprised since I think this is the first time I’ve seen them carry something like that all the way through the show.  Oh, you want me to talk about the contestants?  Sorry, not much to say there.

American Ninja Warrior – I was sorry to see Kacy go out on the jumping spider.  Not super surprised since when you are short, there is only so much you can do.  But I was holding out hope she would make it through somehow.  Still, she has had an amazing run this year as have all the women.  Very curious to see how far people make it next week.  It seems to me that each season, the men make it a little further and the women make it a little further.  Does that mean we’ll finally see someone attempt stage four this year?

Royal Pains – Outside of Boris, that really had the feel of a series finale.  Yes, they could do more with Divya to wrap that up, and the idea of Jeremiah in therapy is intriguing, but I think the producers are looking at the same tea leaves I am and expecting a cancelation.  I hope we’re both wrong.  And I love how they worked again on Hank and Evan’s relationship.  They were the heart of the show in the beginning, and it’s nice to see that come full circle.  I also love seeing Evan and Paige in a healthy relationship since I have loved Paige since they first introduced her.  Heck, we even got to see Paul again!  Please bring them back.  I love these characters so much.

Graceland – As much as I’ve been complaining about the season, I care enough to be hooked by all the cliffhangers they left us with.  I’m very curious how they are going to resolve those.  Seems like a lot to deal with in an hour, but we shall find out next week.

The Quest – I’m really surprised Bonnie made it as far as she did.  I’m sorry to see her go, but it was her time.  I’ve got to give her props for her amazing heart.  She just never gave up.  Wasn’t sorry to see the other woman go earlier.  She just never impressed me that much.  Looks like lots of excitement as it all draws to a close next week.

  1. You know, I have never watched Big Brother. Not sure why it hasn't appealed to me, but I've just never managed to get into it.

It's going to be a quiet few weeks, but then fall starts up and I'm sure we'll both have plenty to talk about.
