I am sometimes amazed at the timing of Hallmark releases for Disney ornaments.  For example, Zootopia came out in 2016, but Hallmark didn’t release the Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde ornament until 2017.  I’m a little surprised they weren’t working on something for 2016 in case it was the huge hit it turned out to be.

This ornament really is a simple as the title suggests.  It features Nick and Judy standing almost back to back.  They are turned ever so slightly so we can see them both.  They look just like they do in the movie, which also means we get a glimpse of their personalities.  Nick is looking ever so slightly cocky with a grin on his face that makes you think he is up to something.  Meanwhile, Judy is looking determined.  She’s not quite smiling because she means business.

And yes, that’s all there is to the ornament.  This isn’t a scene from the movie, but these two characters posing.  As such, it’s not one of Hallmark’s best ornaments, but it is still fun, and fans of the movie will love it.  Additionally, Nick tends to overwhelm Judy since the ornament was done to scale.  This is correct, but it will be easy for her to get lost in tree branches and hidden behind Nick.

The character’s feet are big enough that the ornament stands on its own.  Nick’s fox tail certainly helps.  Just as Nick overwhelms the ornament, he also makes the ornament tip forward a little bit.

There are so many fun characters in Zootopia, I can come up with many others I’d like to see.  However, it’s hard to come up with a better first ornaments than Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde.
