This week's book is And Then There Were Nuns by Kylie Logan.
This is the fourth is a delightfully fun mystery series that takes classic books and weaves elements from them into modern mysteries. Naturally, the classic book this time around is Agatha Christie's book And Then There Were None.
I've finished the book and I loved it. Watch for my full review (with giveaway) coming on Tuesday.
But for now, how about some teasers. Here's the book's first line:
"There's a penguin on my front porch."
Now doesn't that make you want to read more?
Moving on to page 56, we find:
"It's nothing," I assured them all. "I was just thinking - "
"About last night."
Chandra's words floated in the air and for sure, she expected me to snatch them up and provide some kind of explanation that would satisfy the curiosity clearly etched on Kate and Luella's face.
I didn't give any of them the satisfaction.
That's all for this week. I hope you'll come back for my review on Tuesday. Meantime, have a wonderful weekend.
I love the titles of cozies and that opening line...yeah, I want to read more. :-)

Great title. I haven't heard of this series. This week I am spotlighting a contemporary mystery/thriller - Merciless by Lori Armstrong. Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteI want this book! I just ordered it actually. I've been wanting to read this series and you know I can't resist an Agatha Christie tie-in!
ReplyDeleteI would love to have a penguin on my front porch. :)
ReplyDeleteENJOY your weekend and your books.

LOVE the title and that beginning is funny. Imagine!!
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend!
Sounds like a good one! My cat would never wear a bandanna like that - he barely tolerates his collar. :)
ReplyDeleteCheck out my Friday 56 (With Book Beginnings).
What a fun first line!
