What's on My Nightstand - February 2017

It's been a long time since I've done What's on Your Nightstand.  I just keep forgetting to do it!  But let's change that this month, shall we?

Of course, these days, what's on my nightstand is a teaser a long way out.  For example, I'm reading The Silence of the Flans by Laura Bradford.  The book doesn't come out for a week, and I won't be reviewing it until March 9th.  I like to give myself plenty of lead time in case something comes up and I can't read like I normally do.  But I've got three book reviews coming up between now and then, A Dark and Stormy Murder, Bitter Harvest, and Gone with the Twins.

After that?  I'm going to be working on the Agatha Award nominees I still want to read, including Say No More, Design for Dying, and The Semester of Our Discontent.  That should keep me busy for a few weeks.

What's on My Nightstand - September

Last week, I was thinking about the monthly What's on Your Nightstand post and actually looking for it.  I figured they had decided to go with the final Tuesday of the month when I didn't see it pop up.  But last night?  I completely forgot to look for it.

Anyway, normally, I'd have a list of books I need to read for book reviews to include here, but the truth is, I've actually already finished first first three.  I do still need to read Pane and Suffering for a book tour stop on October 14th and Flipped for Murder for October 29th, But the rest of October I'm free.

Which is why right now I am reading The Hero's Guide to Being an Outlaw.  This is the final in a funny middle grade trilogy starring 4 of the Princes Charming who aren't quite as heroic as you might think.  I'm quite anxious to see how things are all wrapped up.

I've also got the latest Nikki Heat book, Driving Heat, on my TBR pile.  Plus I know I plan to read Gretel and the Case of the Missing Frog Prints, which is actually a murder mystery aimed at adults, not middle grade students like it sounds.  Finally, I'm hoping to get in Fry Another Day, the second book in a mystery series.  This one came out in January and I'm just now getting to read it.

On audio this month, I need to listen to The Hound of the Baskervilles by Arthur Conan Doyle for the Reading to Know Book Club.

So obviously, I will still be plenty busy.

What's on My Nightstand - August 2015 Edition

Well, it's been a couple of months since I've done What's on Your Nightstand.  And I have a very good reason for it - I've completely forgotten.  Heck, I almost forgot again today, but suddenly remembered as my brain was waking up this morning, so here you go - a very quick post before I get ready for work.

Actually, most of what's on my nightstand you can see over on the left in the "Upcoming Book Tour Stops" section.  I've got a full September, and I'm digging into that first book right now.  So, officially on my nightstand are:

And I've got a list of audio books I've requested through my library.  My guess is they will all come in at once as well.  But they are:

Yes, all this should keep me very busy in September, don't you think?  It will be interesting to see how much of this I actually get read/listened to.

What's on My Nightstand - May 2015

With the holiday today, I almost forgot to do my What's On My Nightstand post for the month.  Can't have that, now can we?

I am currently half way through Death of a Chocolate Cheater by Penny Pike (aka Penny Warner).  This is the second Food Festival Mystery, and I'm enjoying it.  The beginning was a bit slow, but it's really picked up.

On deck is Truffled to Death by Kathy Aarons, the second in her Chocolate Covered Mysteries.  I read the first a few months back and enjoyed it, so I'm really looking forward to this one as well.

After that, I've got Farmed and Dangerous by Edith Maxwell.  No chocolate, and the third in a series.  See, I'm mixing it up.

Meanwhile, I'll be listening to A is for Alibi by Sue Grafton on audio while I drive to visit family.

From there?  I'm not completely sure what I will be reading the rest of the month.  I have a list of books I'm hoping to get to, including the next Trixie Belden to read and review, but I just haven't decided what I'll grab next.

What's On My Nightstand - April 2015

April is coming to a close, which means it is time for 5 Minutes for Books monthly meme What's On Your Nightstand.

Right now, I'm 100 pages from the end of Musseled Out by Barbara Ross, the third in her Maine Clammbake Mystery series.  I'm reading it for review next Tuesday, and I'm expecting to give it a great review.  I don't like seafood, but I absolutely love this series.

I've got two more books from two different publishers I was sent for review in the next couple of weeks.  Up first for those is One Foot in the Grape by Carlene O'Neil.  Then I will be reading The The Final Reveille by Amanda Flower.  These are both first in new series, they both sound like fun, and I'm very much looking forward to reading them.

However, I'm hoping to slip Stuart Gibb's newest middle grade book in there somewhere early on.  Evil Spy School is the third in one of his series, and I'm very much looking forward to finding out what happens next to these characters.

Also on deck this month, I should be getting the latest in James Patterson's Women's Murder Club series, 14th Deadly Sin, in from the library.  It comes out on Tuesday the 5th, and I'm second in line.  I also need to get to Death by the Dozen, the third Cupcake Bakery Mystery by Jenn McKinlay.

That should keep me busy through most of May, but I'm hoping to sneak one or two more books into the list at some point this month.

What's on My Nightstand - March 2015 Edition

It's the fourth Tuesday of the month, so that means it is time once again for What's on My Nightstand as hosted by 5 Minutes for Books.

I have a feeling that, for me anyway, this is going to be turning into What Books Have You Agreed to Read This Month.  I've been added to the blogger roster for Berkley Prime Crime starting in April (and I'm thrilled about it since I read so many of their books anyway), but that means I will be reading those books around the first of the month and any other review copies I have on hand.

For example, I've got two reviews in the pipeline that will be posted this week.  But starting today, I will be reading the first of my ARCS.

I've got, The Icing on the Corpse by Liz Mugavero (which is actually not a Berkley book but published by Kensington), Grave on Grand Avenue by Naomi Hirahara, The Readaholics and the Falcon Fiasco by Laura DiSilverio, and A Sticky Situation by Jessie Crockett on deck for my next four reads.  And yes, they are all books I would have chosen to read on my own, so I'm very happy to be reading them for review.  And if any of those sound good to you, there will be giveaways for all our of these when I review them.

After that?  Well, I will get to dive into my TBR pile.  I'll probably be reading As Gouda as Dead by Avery Aames and The Fantastic Family Whipple by Matthew Ward.  On audio, I'm hoping to get The Warlord of Mars by Edgar Rice Burroughs any day now, and then I plan to listen to 1984 by George Orwell to participate in the Reading to Know book club in April.

So yes, I have a very busy reading month planned.

What's On My Nightstand - February 2015

We're at the last Tuesday in the month, so that means it is time for What's on Your Nightstand.

Currently, I'm about 100 pages from the end of The Edge of Dreams by Rhys Bowen.  I'm reading an ARC of the book, which officially comes out next Tuesday.  This is the latest in her Molly Murphy mystery series and involves a stranger case of serial murders, a girl with nightmares, and Freud's interpretation of dreams all wrapped up in 1905 New York City.  It's a great book as always.  This is the fourteenth (or so) in a long running and favorite series, and I'm quite enjoying it.

Or maybe I should just call this favorite series Nightstand because up next is the latest in another series.  Double Fudge Brownie Murder by Joanne Fluke hits bookselves today, and I hope to buy a copy so I have it on hand when I finish the book I'm currently reading.  I've got to find out how the cliffhanger from the last book gets resolved.

Up after that is Escape from Mr. Lemoncello's Library.  I've had this middle grade book from Chris Grabenstein (another favorite author) since it came out, and I'm embarrassed to say I haven't read it.  Yet.  But the time has come to definitely fix that.

Beyond that?  I don't have the rest of my March reading planned out.  I'll probably grab a couple of the books that were published in January and February that are the latest in favorite series and read them.  I will have some ARCs to be reading late in the month, but I've got a couple of fun weeks before I get to them.  On the other hand, I've got busy weekends, so I probably won't be able to read quite as much as I have been.

We will just have to see how my reading all shakes out this month.

What's On My Nightstand - January 2015

Welcome to the final Tuesday of January and the first What's On Your Nightstand for 2015.

Thanks to a day spent pretty much reading on Saturday, I'm trying desperately to catch up on book reviews this week.  But let's look ahead to what I am currently reading instead of what I have just finished reading.

I'm about a quarter of the way through an ARC of License to Dill by Mary Ellen Hughes, the second in her Pickled and Preserved mysteries series.  This one involves a visiting soccer team with a murdered manager.  So far, it's been fun.

After that will be another ARC, this one a middle grade fantasy novel entitled A Dragon's Guide to the Care and Feeding of Humans.  I snagged this one via Amazon's Vine program.  It looks fun, and I'm definitely looking forward to it.

After that will be two of the books I got for Christmas - A Tine to Live, A Tine to Die by Edith Maxwell and Hearse and Buggy by Laura Bradford.

And then?  Probably some of the books that came out in January I just ordered.  Or books that come out in February I want to read.  We'll just have to see what is calling loudest at that point.

What's On Your Nightstand - December 2014

Can you believe it's the last nightstand post of the year?  We're almost to 2015!  Yikes!  But before we turn that page, it's time for the final What's On Your Nightstand of 2014.

Currently on my nightstand is Feta Attraction by Susannah Hardy.  This is the first in a new Greek restaurant themed cozy mystery series, and I've really been enjoying it.  I've got 90 pages left, which is a good thing since it is due for review on Monday, January 5th as part of a blog tour.  Come back then to see my thoughts.

It's also good because it means I get to move on to For Whom the Bluebells Toll by Beverly Allen.  I loved the first Bridal Bouquet Shop Mystery, so I'm really looking forward to reading this one.  I've got an ARC, so I will hopefully be posting this review on January 6th.  I've got to get reading if that is going to happen.

From there, I had hoped to have a theme for my reading this month of outdoor/exercise type books to go with the whole January resolution type of thing.  The three books I've got lined up to read for that are Zero-Degree Murder by M. L. Rowland, Scene of the Climb by Kate Dyer-Seeley, and Geared for the Grave by Duffy Brown.

The problem with this plan is that it doesn't allow for any new books that come out in January, and I've got several favorite series with new books coming out.  And there are the books I got for Christmas I'm dying to read.  Plus some Middle Grade novels I've had waiting to get read for forever....

Yes, it's a case of so many books so little time.  We'll just have to see what winds up being the priority over the next month, right?

What's on My Nightstand - November 2014

Can't believe another month is almost over.  Heck, the year is almost over.  But it is indeed the fourth Tuesday of the month, so it's time once again for What's On Your Nightstand as hosted by 5 Minutes for Books.

I just completed Days of Wine and Roquefort by Avery Aames.  If you want to know what I thought of it, here's my review with a give away.

I'm currently about 100 pages from the end of Tagged for Death by Sherry Harris.  I'm reading this one from review on release day next week.  It's a debut, and I'm really enjoying it.

Usually, when I do these, I'm not completely sure what I will be reading then, so it's a vague idea at best.  However, I have books I've been saving for December, so this time around it's easy.  I've got several Christmas mysteries to read this month, and I'm looking forward to them.  Up first in the list will be Death with All the Trimmings by Lucy Burdette.  Again, I got an ARC of this book, so I'm making it a priority.  Then I will be reading Silent Knife by Shelley Freydont, The Nightingale Before Christmas by Donna Andrews, and rereading Murder on the Mount (aka Mount Rainier) by Sandy Dengler.

It's after that I'm not quite sure what I will read.  I have a couple of ARCs for the beginning of January I will need to get read.  But I might try to slip in a Middle Grade book if I have the time before I have to read those.  We'll just have to see how busy the month is and how much reading I really get done.

My October 2014 Nightstand

About Friday, I had a panic attack because I thought I'd missed this post.  Turns out, I was fine.  This is the fourth Tuesday of the month, which means it is time for What's On Your Nightstand, as hosted by 5 Minutes for Books.

Just leaving my nightstand is A Biscuit, a Casket by Liz Mugavero.  This is the second in the Pawsitively Organic Mystery series, and I must say I really enjoyed it.  It was a definite step up from the first, and I'm looking forward to more.  My review is here.

So what's next?  I've got a month of ARCs ahead of me.  I try to only take one or two at the most per month, but somehow, I just kept accepting for right now.

Up first is Suede to Rest by Diane Vallere.  This is the first in a new series and my introduction to the author, but not her first book.

Then comes Bluffing is Murder by Tace Baker, aka Edith Maxwell.  I actually just read the first in this series this month and enjoyed it, so I'm looking forward to diving in to the sequel.

Next is The Job, the third Fox and O'Hare book by Janet Evanovich and Lee Goldberg.  The premise is an FBI agent and a conman teaming up to take down even worse criminals.  The plots take them all over the world and are quite fun if a little out there.

All those come out on successive Tuesdays in November.  But I've got two books set for December 2nd.

Tagged for Death is the first in a new series by new author Sherry Harris.  The theme of this series is garage sales.  I'm quite anxious to dive into this one.

Also up for review that day is Death With All the Trimmings, a Christmas entry in the Key West Food Critic Mysteries by Lucy Burdette.

As if that weren't enough to keep me busy, I'm also trying to reread Acadia (originally published as A Model Murder) by Sandy Dengler.  And I have a couple of middle grade books I want to read as well as Days of Wine and Roquefort by Avery Aames.

Yes, I have too many books I want to read this month.

Obviously, some will bleed over into December.  I don't have any ARCs, but I do have some Christmas books to read then.  Right now, I'm just hopeful I can get to all these extra books by the end of the year.

My Nightstand - Summer 2014

It is the fourth Tuesday of the month (or close enough) which means it is time for What's on Your Nightstand.

This has been another great month of reading.  We will see if it continues since I am a TV addict and the new fall season is starting this week.  Watch for my recaps of Once Upon a Time and Castle starting next week when they return.  (And if you like TV as well, be sure to join my new meme Weekly TV Thoughts.)

But enough TV talk and shameless self promotion.  We're here to talk about books.

Tonight, I just finished rereading Mrs. Pollifax and the Second Thief.  This is the 10th in the series, and I really enjoyed getting a chance to revisit the story.  Honestly, it had been so long I'd mostly forgotten what happened in the book, so it was lots of fun  For those who are not familiar with Mrs. Pollifax, she is a grandmother, garden club member, and part time CIA agent.  (BTW, her boss at the CIA is named Carstairs, in case you were wondering about my user name.)  Her adventures are suspenseful yet plenty of fun with some good humor mixed in along the way.  My review of the book should be up on Friday.

Tomorrow, I will be delving into the world of the Very Nearly Honorable League of Pirates with Terror of the Southlands, the second in this series.  It features a talking gargoyle, magic, and a young female pirate captain.  I read the first one last year and absolutely fell in love with it.

After that, it will be Raging Heat, the latest Nikki Heat book by "Richard Castle."  If you aren't familiar with this series, these are the books that the character on the TV show Castle is supposedly writing.  There are fun nods to the series, but they've turned into a great series on their own.

Also on deck will be the latest short story anthology from Chesapeake Crimes.  This collection features short stories set on various holidays, including Halloween and Christmas, but also President's Day and Talk Like a Pirate Day.  I've taken this one on to review, and I'm looking forward to it.

Also this month, I hope to get to a reread of A Model Murder by Sandy Dengler and read for the first time Stirring the Plot by Daryl Wood Gerber and The Legend of Sleepy Harlow by Kylie Logan.  Plus there are a few other books I want to read.  Obviously, it's going to be another busy reading month.

My Nightstand - August 2014

Another month is winding down already.  Can you believe it?  Heck, summer is winding down, school has started up again (and my niece is in kindergarten!).  All that can only mean one thing - time for What's on Your Nightstand, as hosted by 5 Minutes for Books.

For me, I've been upping my game silently all year aiming for a higher and higher total of books read.  Now, I'm making it official - I'm going for 100 books.  Of course, I'm counting picture books, audio books, and traditional books read.  I'm at 73 right now, so I'm in fairly good shape, but I'm going to have to keep those pages flying if I'm going to make it.

I just finished Bloom and Doom, the first in a Bridal Boutique Mystery series.  While obviously not normally something I'd go for, the positive reviews made me decide I had to give it a try.  I'm glad I did because I really enjoyed it.  My review is posted right here if you are interested..

That frees me up to start a reread of Death Valley, the first in the Jack Prester Mysteries by Sandy Dengler.  It's been over 20 years since I read this book, but I loved the series when I first read it.  I'm hoping to get up to book #3 by the end of the year since that one is set at Christmas.

Beyond that?  I've got a middle grade reread where I will actually hold the review until October and time it for Halloween.  Then I may read Topped Chef by Lucy Burdette.  From there, I'm not really sure, but the stack of books I want to read is long, so finding the next book won't be an issue at all.

What's on My Nightstand - July 2014

We've hit the fourth Tuesday of the month, which means it is time for What on Your Nightstand.

I can tell you what is coming off my nightstand - The Good, the Bad, and the Emus by Donna Andrews.  As in I just finished it 10 minutes ago.  It's the latest in her Meg Langslow comedic mystery series.  Not the best in the series, but still lots of fun.  My full review will be up later this week once I've had a chance to write it.

Coming up next, I will be reading The 101 Dalmatians by Dodie Smith.  I'll be reading it for the Classic Book Club hosted by Reading to Know.  I've never been a part of this book club before, but this seemed like a good excuse to reread the book.  I read it close to 20 years ago, so it will be interesting to see what I remember of the book.  I'll be posting that review on Sunday, if all goes according to plan.

After that?  I'll be working away on my goal of eventually reviewing all the books in the Trixie Belden series.  Up next?  #25, The Sasquatch Mystery.  From there it will be a book that a friend from Australia gave me months ago.  I'm a bit embarrassed to admit I haven't read it yet.  Finally, I will be reading the fourth Cheese Shop Mystery by Avery Aames, To Brie or Not to Brie.

That should carry me into August.  From there, I've got some new releases by favorite authors I'll need to get my hands on.  I'm still hoping to get in some Hardy Boys and Nancy Drew books.  And I have another couple series I want to reread, not to mention I still have a towering pile of new books screaming my name.

Now if you'll excuse me, I'd better get reading.

What's On My Nightstand - June 2014

I almost forgot this month.  But fortunately I remember and the official post for What's On Your Nightstand is up (not that I've let that stop me from posting before).

Last week, I made it through several books, trying to up my count for Spring Reading Thing right before the end.  I finished Dead Man's Switch and Bran New Death.  And then, over the weekend, I finished Basil Instinct.  The book officially comes out tomorrow, but I got an advanced copy.  My review will go live at 1:30 AM my time, so go you think you are interest, go read it.

So now, I'm working on another ARC, this time The Prime Minister's Secret Agent by Susan Elia MacNeal.  This is the fourth in her Maggie Hope series of historical mystery/spy adventures set in England during World War II.  As always, I'm really enjoying it.  Expect the review on July 1st.

From there, I will probably reread and review Trixie Belden #24, The Mystery at Saratoga.  I'll follow that up with Death in Four Courses by Lucy Burndette.

That's about as far in advance as I've gotten.  I have an entire stack of books waiting for me to read, and I'm quite anxious to dive into them.  I just don't know in what order that will happen.  I keep saying I'd like to reread and review some Hardy Boys and Nancy Drew books, so maybe that will happen.  We'll just have to see, I guess.

What's on My Nightstand - May 2014

This is a busy week around here.  Not only am I trying to keep up with my normal reviews while participating in Armchair BEA, but it's also the fourth Tuesday for the month, which means it is time for What's on Your Nightstand as hosted by 5 Minutes for Books.

It's a funny week to run this for another reason.  I feel like my nightstand is all over the place right now.  I've got a review posting today for an audio book I listened to two weeks ago.  The book I finished yesterday is for a blog tour next week, so I'm not reviewing it this week (although if I were smart I'd write the review).  Meanwhile, I've started another.  As I said, I'm all over the place.

So let's get to some specifics.

Last week, I read two cozy mysteries by two of the Wicked Cozy Authors - Boiled Over by Barbara Ross and 'Til Dirt Do Us Part by Edith Maxwell.  You can read the reviews by following the links, but the short version is I enjoyed them both.

Posting today is my review of The Brass Verdict by Michael Connelly.  It's a legal thriller and definitely different from what I normally read.  I enjoyed listening to the audio book very much.  (UPDATE: It's now posted here!)

And I just finished A Sense of Entitlement by Anna Lois-Wilsey.  This is the third in a series of historical mysteries.  My review (with giveaway) will be up next Tuesday.  Again, it was an enjoyable book.

Which leaves me with the book I just started - Cover of Snow by Jenny Milchman.  So far so good.  I'm hoping to have my review of it up this week, although it's going to be a busy week, I can tell already.

What's next on the horizon?  Probably Wicked Eddies by Beth Groundwater followed by the latest Monk tie in novel, but you just never completely know.

What's On My Nightstand - April 2014

With there being over a week left in the month, the fourth Tuesday almost snuck up on me.  Fortunately, I remembered since that means it is time for What's On Your Nightstand as hosted by 5 Minutes for Books.

The last book I finished and reviewed is Poached by Stuart Gibbs.  It's the second in a middle grade mystery series set at a zoo/amusement park.  In this book, the main character is accused of kidnapping the newest attraction, a koala.  Since no one is looking for any other suspects, Teddy sets out to prove his innocence.  It was a great mystery with several funny and several suspenseful scenes.  You can click on the link to read my full review.  I think the target age will love it as much as I did.

Then last week, I finished Veronica Mars: The Thousand Dollar Tan Line.  This is the first tie in novel to the Veronica Mars TV show as is set after the recent movie.  I've long been a fan, so I enjoyed it.  The review is coming Tuesday or Wednesday, I promise!

Right now, I'm about 80 pages from finishing Blue Sea Burning by Geoff Rodkey.  It's the 3rd in his Chronicles of Egg middle grade series, and I'm really enjoying it.  In fact, I may try to finish that up as soon as I get this posted.  Either way, look for the review to show up on Sunday in time for next week's Marvelous Middle Grade Monday.

What's on deck?  Next up is Murder on Bamboo Lane by Naomi Hirahara, the first in a new series about a female Japanese American bike cop who gets involved in a murder in Little Toyko here in Los Angeles.  From there, I'll be moving on to ARCs of The Pickled Piper by Mary Ellen Hughes and Death Run Adrift by Karen MacInerney.  Both are coming out the first week in May, and I've promised reviews of both the first week of May?

Beyond that?  I haven't quite decided yet, but with the depth of my TBR pile, I'm sure I'll find something no problem.

What's on My Nightstand - March 2014

March is quickly coming to a close.  Okay, so we have one more week, but tomorrow is the fourth Tuesday of the month, so it's time for What's on Your Nightstand?

I started off the month with a rash of cozy mystery reviews.  Mainly, they were ones I had finished or almost finished at the end of February but came out in March.

Then I took a detour to non-fiction for Cold-Case Christianity (linked to my review).  This book was an interesting take on the evidence for Christianity written by a cold-case detective.  I enjoyed it as a mystery reader because I could really follow his logic.  I didn't think the book necessarily broke any new ground, but I enjoyed it anyway.

On Monday, I just finished Let the Storm Break, the second in a YA fantasy series by Shannon Messenger. It was captivating, and I couldn't put it down.

So what's on deck?  Tonight, I picked up a hold request from the library - I Even Funnier by James Patterson and Chris Grabenstein.  It's a middle grade novel.  The first was okay, so we'll see how I feel about this one.  At least the price was right.

After that will be Inherit the Word, the second Cookbook Nook mystery by Daryl Wood Gerber.  I'm quite anxious to get to this one, so hopefully it will be as good as the first book was.

That will take me into April, and beyond that I don't know for sure.  I've got a few books by favorite authors coming out, so it will partially depend on when I get the books.

What's on Your Nightstand - February 2014

Can you believe it is already the fourth Tuesday in February?  Me neither.  But it is, which means it is time for this month's What's on Your Nightstand?

I'm actually a couple of books behind on reviews.  Last week, I was reading City of Darkness and Light, the newest Molly Murphy book by Rhys Bowen.  It doesn't come out for a week, so I'm holding the review until then.  I loved it, which isn't a surprise since I've been a fan of the series for years.  So thankful I got to read an ARC of the book.

And I'm not feeling guilty for not having a review of this other book up either.  See, I just finished Murder Past Due by Miranda James today.  Like three hours ago.  And I just haven't had time to write the glowing review this book deserves either.

So what's next?  I've got two more ARCs coming up.  I got both of them this weekend, too.  Up first is The Chase by Janet Evanovich and Lee Goldberg.  I read these books because I'm a fan of Lee Goldberg.  The con man and FBI agent premise may be similar to White Collar, but the world wide settings and romantic tension certainly aren't.  This is the second book in the series, and I'm quite curious to see how things go.

Then I'll be reading Dummy of a Ghost by Sue Ann Jaffarian, the second of her e-novellas in the Ghost of Granny Apples series.  I'm quite anxious to visit these characters again, and I'm even more excited that another new full length novels is coming out beginning of April.

So, while I haven't had a book review up in a week or so, as you can see it will be full steam ahead with new books and new book reviews over the next week.  Keep coming back to see what I thought.

What's on My Nightstand - January 2014

Can you believe it's already time for the first What on Your Nightstand of 2014?  Me neither.

I just finished up Lost and Fondue by Avery Aames and posted my review earlier today.  It was a fun culinary cozy, and I'll definitely be reading more in the series since one of my goals for the year is to get caught up.

I've actually got quite a few cozies lined up to read this next month.  I went from that one to Cloche and Dagger, the first in a hat shop mystery series by Jenn McKinlay.  This book is actually set in London, and it's been very fun.  I hope to finish it today and have my review up on Thursday.  I'll definitely be grabbing the sequel in May.

After that comes NYPD Puzzle, the latest Puzzle Lady mystery by Parnell Hall then Killing Cupid by Laura Levine, the latest in her Jaine Austen mystery series.

This will keep me out of trouble for a few days anyway.
