You’ll Welcome This Mini Ornament to Your Tree
For cuteness packed into a miniature ornament, it’s hard to top the Petite Penguins series from Hallmark. This year’s entry, A Welcoming Wreath, so no exception.
This year’s ornament features a penguin hanging out in a wreath. As in the middle of the wreath. His head and arms are sticking through the middle, and we can see his feet dangling under it. The wreath itself is festive with a few round ornaments on it and a red bow on top. The penguin’s scarf is sticking off to the side. It’s blue and purple and a little hard to see against the wreath, but it is there.
And it’s just so cute. You can’t help but smile when you look at the ornament. The penguins in this series are always cute, but the way this one is just hanging in the wreath makes it seem especially so.
As I mentioned earlier, this is a miniature ornament, so it’s not much over an inch tall. Once again, I’m amazed at the detail they are able to get into this ornament for the size. It’s truly impressive. But do keep the size in mind when you go to buy it.
Most of the time, mini ornaments are too small to do anything but hang on a tree (which is fine since that’s what ornaments are designed to do). This is an exception, however. The penguin is sitting with his head through the wreath, and that gives the ornament enough of a base that you and sit the ornament out in you want. Of course, given the size, it would be easy for him to get lost if you did that.
And when you go to hang him on your tree, you’ll find that he hangs straight.
The series marker is on the penguin’s back. It’s small, but it is there.
