October 30th's Book Beginnings and Friday 56

 We did it!  Here's to another Friday and this week's Book Beginnings and Friday 56.

This week, I'm back to mysteries with Puzzling Ink, the first in a new series by Becky Clark.

This is the first in a new series coming out on Tuesday.

And here's how the book begins:

Moving up to 56% into the book, we find this:
