I Nearly Went Mad Getting These Pins.  Now I’m Having a Tea Party to Celebrate!

Anyone who started out the year trying to collect Disney's Minnie Mouse: The Main Attraction collection knows that it hit a major snag in March.  Due to their physical stores and theme parks shutting down, everything went online, and there were major problems with the site crashing.  The result has been high secondary market prices.  Since I was unwilling to pay those prices, I just now got March’s pin set, themed around the Mad Tea Party.  I’m thrilled to finally have it.

After enjoying Pirates of the Caribbean in New Orleans Square (yes, I’m Disneyland centric) in February, Minnie headed to Fantasyland, where she will be spending a lot of time this year.  As always, she is dressed for the occasion, and these pins celebrate her new fashion choices.

This is a three pin set.  The first pin is an icon associated with the featured attraction.  For this set, we get a yellow teacup.  It looks to be filled with tea, but the sides are decorated with the funky designs that are on the cup in the attraction.  The next pin in Minnie herself.  He’s wearing a Mad Hatter hat.  She’s holding a yellow teacup that looks like the pin we already talked about while her dress is pink with more funky designs on it.  The final pin is Minnie Ears.  This time, the ears are purple with the designs in it.  And yes, there is a Mad Hatter hat with a bow in between the ears.

There were times I got impatient waiting to get this set.  But it was worth the wait.  The fact that the designs from the cups on the ride are everywhere is fabulous.  The colors match the colors of some of the cups in the attraction perfectly, too.  The only thing that could have made this set better is if they had included teal as one of the colors.  What can I say, green and blue are my favorite colors.

Prices for this set are going to continue to be high, but persistence will pay off in the end.  If you are interested in Minnie’s visit to the Mad Tea Party, you’ll be happy when you get your hands on these pins.
