Let Louie Light up Your Tree

As much as I love Christmas decorations, I also love Christmas lights.  A tree just isn’t a good Christmas tree without a ton of lights.  And I do mean colored lights, not just white lights.  That why I find Louie D. Lightly to be fun.

As you’ve probably guessed from his name, this member of the Snowtop Lodge series is all about the Christmas lights.  Louie is wearing a blue fuzzy hat and red tinsel like scarf, and he’s got a string of lights between his hands.  The light bulbs in his hands are red, yellow, and purple, which will make me very happy.  His buttons are even light bulbs.  However, these aren’t necessarily Christmas tree lights since the scene painted on him is of houses decked out in lights.  (Yes, I prefer colored lights outside as well.)

While it would be cool if the lights that Louie was holding actually lit up, that isn’t the case.  Even so, this is a great ornament.  Louie is friendly and ready to help with those lighting projects.  And since I love lights, that makes him special.  Heck, couple him with this year’s entry in the series, Tina L. Tinselbaum, and you’ve got help with all your tree trimming needs.

Being a snowman, Louie stands up just find on his own.  The ornaments in this series are porcelain, so you’ll want to be sure you set them out in a place where they won’t be easily broken, but alone or together these can be quite a fun display.  You’ll also find the series marker painted on his bottom.

If you want to add him to your tree, you’ll find that he tips forward ever so slightly.  It isn’t too bad and easily disguisable with some tree branches.

Whether you like lights as much as I do or not, you’ll find that Louie D. Lightly adds a nice touch to your tree.  But if you enjoy lights, that will be an added bonus.
