Time for a Snowball Fight!
A staple of winter time fun is the snowball fight – at least in popular culture. (I live in Southern California. What do I know about snow?) I’m a bit surprised we haven’t seen that pop up yet in the Snowtop Lodge series, but, now that we have, I am loving Whittaker Q. Snowden.
Whittaker is dressed for the snow. He’s got a green knit cap on and is wearing a white scarf with red and green stripes on it. And he’s ready for that snowball fight. One of his arms is raised, and he’s got a snowball in it. His other arm is holding three more snow balls, so he’ll be able to keep throwing in rapid succession. Down his front are a series of blue buttons almost the same color as the snowballs, so they are clearly supposed to represent snowballs.
The bottom half of the ornament features a scene. You guessed it; we’ve got snowmen out in the woods enjoying a snowball fight with some snow dogs running around as well. It’s a cute scene.
The theming of the ornament is perfect, with the tiny details that really pull it together. And it’s fun. Whittaker is smiling, and it’s easy to smile along with him when looking at the ornament.
As is usual for the series, the ornament has a solid base, so you can set Whittaker out to enjoy any time or place you want. My only warning is that he is made of porcelain, so he is more breakable than Hallmark’s usual ornaments, so you’ll want to make sure he is in a place where he won’t break.
You’ll find the 17 in a Christmas tree series marker painted on the bottom of the ornament as well.
Some of the ornaments in this series will tip forward, but that’s not the case with Whittaker. He might lean a little to the side, but you’d need to be watching for it to notice it.
This cute and nostalgia filled ornament is wonderful. Fans of the Snowtop Lodge series will definitely be happy with Whittaker Q. Snowden, and casual fans will want to hunt it down as well.
Be sure to check out the rest of the Snowtop Lodge series.
