Even Chewie Can Get Small

So far, Hallmark has been releasing the new miniature Star Wars character ornaments in pairs.  Last year, we got Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader.  This year, we got Han Solo.  And who better to pair him with than his friend Chewbacca.

This is a fairly simple ornament overall.  Chewbacca is standing and holding a crossbow.  His sash and bag are hanging over his shoulder.  That’s it, but this is a miniature ornament, so any more than that would make it busy.

Having said that, Chewbacca is a little taller than the other Star Wars miniatures we’ve gotten recently.  It makes sense – this way he’s in scale.  Still, he’s small – only about two inches tall.  He does feel sturdier than many of the other mini ornaments I have.  I think the size is a factor there, although even the crossbow doesn’t feel like it would break super easily.  Not that I would recommend playing with the ornament or dropping it.

Chewbacca is large enough to stand on his feet and be stable if you choose to display him that way.  However, I will caution to be sure you put him in a spot where he won’t get lost easily.

Chewbacca is leaning forward ever so slightly, bracing himself to fire his weapon.  When you go to hang him, you’ll find that he straightens up a little bit.  That’s actually okay since he looks good either way.

I know miniature ornaments aren’t for everyone, but if you do enjoy them and are a Star Wars fan, you’ll be glad you picked up this mini Chewbacca ornament.
