What's on My Nightstand - January 2014

Can you believe it's already time for the first What on Your Nightstand of 2014?  Me neither.

I just finished up Lost and Fondue by Avery Aames and posted my review earlier today.  It was a fun culinary cozy, and I'll definitely be reading more in the series since one of my goals for the year is to get caught up.

I've actually got quite a few cozies lined up to read this next month.  I went from that one to Cloche and Dagger, the first in a hat shop mystery series by Jenn McKinlay.  This book is actually set in London, and it's been very fun.  I hope to finish it today and have my review up on Thursday.  I'll definitely be grabbing the sequel in May.

After that comes NYPD Puzzle, the latest Puzzle Lady mystery by Parnell Hall then Killing Cupid by Laura Levine, the latest in her Jaine Austen mystery series.

This will keep me out of trouble for a few days anyway.

  1. :) Well, yup, maybe we were the only ones who remembered but it's all up and good now!

I always feel weird when titling my Nightstand posts but since I'm usually talking about the books I intend to read the following month, in this case, I'm referring to February. What I wasn't thinking about was that it's the first Nightstand in a new year!

    1. And see, I always title them with the month I post it in, and I talk about what I've just read, what I'm reading, and what I'm about to read.

Then again, I am the one who posted one for 2015 last year. I'm really not one to talk. :)

  3. I need to add some fun reading to my pile. Your cozy books sound like just the thing! The hat shop series sounds fun (love all things London).

    1. Cozy mysteries are lots of fun.

Finished the hat shop mystery today. Review should be up Thursday. I enjoyed it and am looking forward to more, although there was room for improvement.
