Enjoy This Ornament with a Smile and a Song

It seems logical to me that a series of ornaments focusing on the Disney Princesses would start with Snow White.  Of course, she doesn’t seem quite as popular overall as some of the others.  And that’s probably why she was second in the Enchanted Memories series that Hallmark did in the late 1990’s.

This series features the princess in question on a platform in front of an oval with a scene reminiscent of the movie in the back ground.  In this case, Snow White is actually sitting on the platform.  She has her right hand up and a bird is resting on it.  She is leaning on her other hand, and a rabbit and a chipmunk are near it looking up at her face.  This pose reminds me of how she looked during the song “With a Smile and a Song” during the movie.  Not one of the best known songs from the movie, I’ll grant you, but that’s what I think about when looking at her.  On the front of the base is written Snow White in the font always used for that movie.

The oval behind is definitely not from that scene since it shows the dwarf's cottage.  No characters are visible back there, but you can see the cottage very clearly since Snow White is sitting down.  It is framed by some trees like the first time we see it, and it makes a nice backdrop.  The edges of the golden oval the frame this picture have some raised edges to them much like ribbon winding around flowers.

I got this ornament because I love Disney so much and the series was fairly cheap to back collect.  I’ll admit I find it a bit on the girly side overall, but for the girls out there who love the princesses this will be sure to please them.

Because the main part of the ornament is the base that Snow White is sitting on, it’s no surprise that it stands up straight.  Those looking for the copyright information and the series ornament marking will find it on the back of the picture oval.

The hook for hanging this on your tree loops out from the top of the oval.  When you slip a hanger through it, you’ll find that it tips back very slightly.  Once you get it on your tree, you won't really notice.

Even though I don’t go for all things Disney princess, I do still like this ornament.  That’s why I do recommend tracking down Enchanted Memories: Snow White if you are interested or know someone who would be.

There's more magic for you with the rest of the Enchanted Memories series
